New PaceTwin PVR Update

I got an e-mail form my farther-in-law this morning telling me that Pace were about to release a new software update for the Twins PVR. Yah! I love my PaceTwin but it has had a checkered past with bugs in the software, the one existing bug which I still encounter is 0 second recordings. Initial reports seem to indicate this problem is resolved in the new update, woohoo! :-D

The following topics at Digital Spy and AVForums are discussing the new update…

Whilst reading about this new PaceTwin update I also found mention of TwinRip which enables you to extract recorded programs from the PaceTwin hard disk. I have yet to test it, but it looks very interesting and a Linux version is also available :-)

You can check for upcoming software updates for other Freeview receivers on the Engineering Channel Download Schedule page.

Thanks for your reports. I really enjoyed reading on the wiki about what you are doing with your NSLU2.
